Dave Carr started his accounting career at Deloitte Haskins & Sells after graduating with a bachelor's degree in Physics from Case Western Reserve University and completing his Master of Science in Management.  Ron Gouveia joined him after obtaining a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Chaminade University, serving 6 years as a naval officer, and obtaining a bachelor's degree in Accounting from University of Hawaii at Manoa.  Ron joined Dave after 14 years at N&K CPAs, leaving as an audit manager.

Since the beginnings of the firm, there has and will always be a focus on helping people.  Ron now heads up both the accounting, auditing and IT departments.  The IT department focuses on set-up, security and integrity of information systems for various sized firms in Honolulu.  The accounting & auditing department helps many non-profits and for-profit entities with their auditing and accounting needs.  Under his department, Ronelle, our accounting manager with 20 years experience, helps many non-profits with accounting assistance, consulting, and setup.

Dave leads the tax department, whose primary focus is to (1) comply with all the current federal, state, and city tax laws and (2) look for opportunities for our clients to effectively tax plan and avoid paying more taxes than are required by law.  The tax department primarily prepares individual, partnership, trust & estate, and corporate (S & C) returns.  We are contributors to the tax section of the Hawaii Divorce Manual.  Please click here to learn more about our tax department and the services we provide.

We are located at the Dole Cannery office building, across from Costco.

New clients are accepted after an initial, free, no obligation meeting to see if we are the right firm (with the right expertise) for the services needed.
